I'm thrilled to share a glimpse into my latest project: "Cinematic Decay: Strings I". This series is a tribute to texture and character, meticulously crafted for composers diving into the depths of post-apocalyptic masterpieces, the eerie silences of unsettling thrillers, or the introspective spaces of melancholic reflections. "Cinematic Decay: Strings I" heralds the debut of what I'm dubbing a "micro-library" within the Cinematic Decay series. Each micro-library offers a curated selection of patches dedicated to a specific instrument or family, presented in an accessible, affordable download. All of this magic is happening under the ZQ SFX LLC banner.

• Highly crafted recordings - I’ve poured my heart into capturing custom recordings, putting instruments and synths through an epic journey of processing with external gear. Each sound has been lovingly recorded, re-recorded, and even re-re-recorded across various tape mediums like cassette, reel-to-reel, Nagra IV-S, and VHS. The result? REALLY gritty and textured sounds.

• Modwheel Magic - Dynamic samples that evolve with your Modwheel. Two different sets of recordings per patch that crossfade based on Modwheel position.

• The "Degrade" knob - it’s your ticket to adding that irresistible grit and edge to your tracks.

• Optional Velocity - you have the control to shape your expression, exactly how you envision it.

• MIDI Learn - functionality for custom volume/dynamics mapping - your creativity, your rules.

• ADSR Control - Full control over each patch, because every detail matters in sound design.
